What results can I expect after a HALO?
HALO is a complete skin revitalization laser treatment. You will see overall improvements in your skin, including a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, improved skin reflectivity and glow, and significant removal of discoloration.
How many treatments do I need?
Discuss your skincare needs with your clinician. You may choose to receive one or two aggressive treatments or multiple gentle treatments to achieve the same goal over a longer period of time.
What happens during a HALO?
Your clinician will place a topical anesthetic on your skin to reduce any discomfort during the procedure. The treated area will be measured with motion-tracking technology to ensure an even and uniform treatment.
What does HALO feel like?
With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, patients typically experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes or slightly longer with deeper treatment levels.
How soon after my HALO can I return to normal activities?
For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to your clinician’s instructions. After the first 24-72 hours have passed, the treated skin will begin to slough off as new healthy skin comes to the surface. You may experience social downtime for a few days but can resume normal daily activities as desired.
When will I see results from my HALO treatment?
You will see initial results between two and five days after your HALO treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.
How long will my results last?
Your HALO results will last for years, but you should keep your skin protected at all times with UV sunscreen. With each additional HALO treatment, you will experience continued improvement with healthier, more youthful-looking skin.
What are the benefits of HALO?
The HALO treatment is more comfortable with less downtime than traditional fractional resurfacing.
See noticeable results within days, with continued improvement over time.
Mild swelling and redness in the treated area will begin to subside three to four days after treatment.

Before the treatment, a topical anesthetic ointment will be used to numb the treated area.
As the HALO hand piece gently rolls across the skin, integrated cooling helps keep patients comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will feel warm for 30 to 60 minutes or slightly longer with deeper treatment levels.

Patients may experience tightness of the skin and redness and swelling similar to a sunburn sensation.
On days two to three, a bronzing, sandpaper-like texture will form on the skin as MENDS (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) make their way to the surface and fall off by day four or five, depending on the treatment depth and intensity.
A gentle cleanser and moisturizer are recommended until the skin has naturally exfoliated. Sunscreen should be applied daily with no direct exposure for 7 days post-treatment. Please adhere to your provider’s instructions.
Depending on your skin and treatment goals, HALO may be performed as a single treatment or as part of a series.
